Leading Organisation: 2 EPAL TRIKALON

This output is the main outcome of the project. In this phase, a course to apply the FabLab Schoolnet methodological approach is implemented at a large scale.

The course consists of several units, which cover the entire path to use innovative technologies in real contexts. The course specialized in the three technologies (robotics, 3D printing, mobile devices) that were developed in the project. The lessons learned in the pilot course (IO6) are applied in order to be more effective from a didactic perspective. As an example, for the 3D technology, the course started with basic concepts, such as the various types of 3D printers on the market and their characteristics, the attention is focused on the process of computer assisted 3D modeling, using special software, printing processes, different types of materials and critical issues. As a common learning path, all students are introduced to the basic concepts of self-entrepreneurship and marketing, in order to make the learner immediately ready for the world of work. Moreover, models were also used to support non-formal learning and encourage the creativity of learners. In this output a platform for sharing best practices in using FabLab Schoolnet technologies was created. This social platform was used for sharing the experiences of the schools in applying the FabLab School Net approach. This social platform has the aim of collecting all the learning experiences carried out by the schools involved in the project. The analysis of these experiences highlighted good practices in the use of FabLab School Net technologies in educational contexts, providing good examples to foster the diffusion of the FabLab network among European schools.

The main results of the FabLab School Net project have been presented at the final conference organized by the "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, on 29th - 30th of October 2021. More information here.

An important result of the FabLab School Net project is the ArLectio platform ( https://www.arlectio.it/en ). This platform has been used by teachers during the activities of IO6 and IO7 to design the Augmented Reality educational content piloted with students.
